Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 10 July 2026. Legal.id is offered to invited users during early access; formal counsel-reviewed terms follow before general availability.
The service
Legal.id, operated by Lextronica, Inc., provides a hosted identity you can use to sign in to participating applications. Access is invite-only during early access and may change or pause without notice.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Handles are allocated to one account and are not transferable. Don't impersonate others, don't attempt to claim a handle you have no right to, and don't abuse or attack the service.
Assurance tiers
A tier states what we verified and nothing more. "Digital" means you confirmed an email; "Core" means you also signed in with a verified Google account; "Verified" means Legal.io completed a Form I-9 employment-eligibility check for you. A tier is a statement about a point in time and can be revoked if the basis for it no longer holds.
Availability and warranty
During early access the service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't yet guarantee uptime, and you should not yet rely on Legal.id as your sole means of access to anything important. To the extent permitted by law, Lextronica, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product matures. Material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
